Datex is a dual layer material, consisting out of a supporting layer of stretchy polyester / elastan with a top layer of 100% chlorined natural latex.
It has the looks of rubber, but can be stitched and isn’t as vulnerable as rubber . Another advantage is that you can be easily put on, without the aid of talcum powder or silicones. Since it slides much easier over the skin, it’s a good material to make hoods from.

Because the material is very stretchy, one size fits all. And: Mister B’s Datex Hoods are really affordable.

Can be machine washed at low temperature.
